Secure AI vs. Claude

Secure AI routes to Claude among other models. The difference is not the model — it is whether the provider is told whose question it is.

What the AI provider is told about you

Claude: Your account, with your name and billing attached.

Secure AI: The question and the model to answer it, sent with our credentials rather than yours.

Whether two questions can be linked

Claude: Yes — conversations live in one account history.

Secure AI: Not on the provider's side.

Using it without an account

Claude: An account is required.

Secure AI: Guest mode starts a conversation with no signup.

Training on your conversations

Claude: Set out in Anthropic's consumer terms, which have changed over time — check their current policy.

Secure AI: Excluded by contract, on every plan including the free one.

This reflects each provider's default consumer experience at the time of writing. Provider features and policies change often, and vary by plan and region — check the provider for the current position. Where Claude is the better choice

Claude is one of the models we route to, so this is not a comparison where we think the other product is worse at the job. For long documents, careful reasoning and code, going direct gets you the newest capabilities first and an app built around them. What you give up is the layer: the provider knows the account behind every message. If that does not concern you, Claude direct is a perfectly good answer.

Where our own protection stops

Secure AI removes the identity attached to your account, not identifying details you write into a message yourself. If you type your own name or address, that reaches the AI provider as you wrote it. And stored conversations are encrypted with a key we hold, so we remain technically capable of reading them.

Questions

If Secure AI uses Claude, why not just use Claude?

If the account link does not bother you, do. What we sell is the indirection — the provider answers without being told whose question it is — plus a blend of providers rather than one.

Which models does Secure AI actually use?

A blend of leading proprietary models, routed per question rather than picked by you. Higher plans reach the more capable end. The current providers are listed on our sub-processors page.
